Winyard’s Gap is a dog friendly pub situated on the outskirts of the idyllic village of Chedington, a short drive from Beaminster. Nestled high in the chalk fields of West Dorset, the pub is surrounded by National Trust land. Choose from six boutique bedrooms and enjoy hearty seasonal food, local ales, and warm hospitality. The pub is perfectly placed for exploring the Jurassic Coast, chocolate box villages, and an abundance of panoramic walking trails.

Bedrooms

Behind the pub, there are six en-suite bedrooms, each offering comfort and character and a private entrance for a touch of peace and privacy. Each room comes with thoughtful details like soft down duvets, fine cotton sheets, and natural Bramley bath products. Two of the double rooms have an adjoining door and are perfect for families. Dogs can also be added at the checkout.

The two larger studio bedrooms come with a kitchenette, lounge area, and private outdoor space – Minimum two-night stay in these rooms only.

In the morning, wake up to a hearty full English cooked to order, or lighter options like homemade granola.

The car park has electricity with a 13 amp plug enabling guests with electric vehicles to re-charge. (Guests own adaptors are required).

Expect a balance of comforting pub classics, more refined seasonal dishes, and a traditional roast on Sundays. Dine informally in the fireside bar or in the light and airy dining room.
