The Telegraph Travel 2025 wrote: “A characterful 15th-century building with a welcoming atmosphere, impeccably presented bedrooms, a creative menu based on seasonal ingredients from local Nedging Hall Estate and an enthusiastic young team working closely with a hands-on owner, makes this a great touring base for exploring Suffolk’s rural heartland.”
Food & Drink
Food is at the heart of The Crown experience. The critically acclaimed AA 3-Rosette restaurant serves modern British dishes crafted from locally sourced Suffolk produce, with menus that change seasonally. Whether enjoying a hearty breakfast, a relaxed lunch, or an indulgent supper, guests can expect dishes that celebrate flavour and craftsmanship. The bar serves an excellent selection of fine wines, local ales, cocktails, and spirits – the perfect accompaniment to an evening by the fire or in the courtyard in the summertime. Nedging Hall grows its own barley for Mauldons Brewery, Suffolk’s oldest, to craft their own award-winning beer.
