Yorkshire’s Coast
Yorkshire has a magnificent coastline and headline. The coast is made up of fishing villages, rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, and seaside resorts. There is something for every one and you won’t be disappointed. Top places to visit on the coast include Staithes, Saltburn, Bridlington, and Withernsea and Scarborough. Along the coast you can visit attractions such as Filey Dams Nature Reserve, Hornsea Beach, Life in Miniature and Scarborough Castle.

North York Moors
The North Yorkshire Moors are made up of 1,400 miles of beautiful rolling hills, forests and countryside. Whilst exploring the North York Moors you can discover Yorkshire’s abundance of wildlife including deer, badgers, squirrels and birds such as hawks.
The North York Moors are also home to plenty of historic attractions such as abbeys, castles and priories. And of course for those interested in walking, the area is the perfect place to explore on foot. Arts & Culture
Yorkshire is a vibrant and cultural county that is home to some of the UK’s top museums and galleries including the National Media Museum in Bradford, the Yorkshire Sculpture Park in Wakefield, the Yorkshire Air Museum in Elvington and The Graves Gallery in Sheffield.
There’s plenty of opportunities to watch a play or show as there are regional theatres and venues putting on programmes that feature ballet and dance productions as well as musicals and theatre productions. Sheffield’s Crucible & Lyceum theatres are a must visit.
As well as productions of dance and plays, Yorkshire celebrates art and artists throughout the year. Activities
If you’ve come to Yorkshire for an action packed adventure then you won’t be disappointed. There are plenty of great outdoor experiences in North Yorkshire including mountain biking in Dalby Forest or long distance cycling on the Cleveland Way trail.
Other popular activities available for visitors include horse riding, gliding, 4X4 driving, quad biking, surfing, kayaking, kite surfing, clay pigeon shooting, orienteering, quad biking, Segway(ing), bird watching, gliding, rock climbing, wind surfing, sailing, wild swimming, and more! Walking
Yorkshire is a haven for walkers and has over 1,400 miles of country paths and tracks. The most challenging route Yorkshire has to offer is the Three Peaks Beckon, taking in three of the highest summits in the area; Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. The Inn Way walk across the moors covers 89 miles in 6 days via 39 pubs.

Cycling
Or if you prefer to be on two wheels Yorkshire has plenty of opportunities for cyclists. The North York Moors National Park has many trails and public rights of way for use for cyclists. Dalby Forest is a must visit if you are interested in mountain biking.
