The 6,000 year history of Shetland means that there is plenty to see,do and learn when visiting the islands. There are fascinating archaeological sites such as Mousa Broch – the fines surviving Iron Age broch tower. Another must visit is the Bronze Age Bressay, a community project that rescued the prehistoric Burnt Mound of Cruester from coastal erosion by moving the site stone by stone to a new location.
