The house contains centuries old collections from the Cavendish family and previous owners, dating back to the 16th century. Probably the most well known town in Derbyshire is Bakewell, famous for its delicious tarts and many other treats. Located on the banks of the river Wye, Bakewell is a picture perfect town, encompassing mellow stone buildings, a medieval arch stone bridge and charming streets. Whether you have a sweet tooth or not, the town of Bakewell is definitely worth a visit!
